Prep Schools' Sevens Tournament

Traditionally the first week-end in March is when The Oratory School hosts its own Prep School's Tournament on the Saturday and then holds the Catholic Prep Sevens on the Sunday. This year the Saturday tournament proved to be a fantastic afternoon of U11 Sevens. Although there was a ten minute thunder storm, the day ran smoothly. The pitches were pristine, the food glorious and there was some excellent rugby on show. The overall winners were Moulsford who beat Gayhurst 17-7 in the Final. The winners of the plate was Donhead who beat Twyford 21-7. However on the Sunday there was a dramatic turn in the weather with rain turning to a snow blizzard and amid freezing conditions the tournament was abandoned at midday. However, those that stayed enjoyed a great roast lunch!
