St John

St John House was built in 1975 and named after the former Head Master Fr. Ambrose St. John (1862 - 72).

A compact purpose built boarding house, St John is the home for some 80 boys, of which 35% are day boys. After the third form all boys occupy single or twin roomed dormitories. St John has recently been refurbished.

Located just off Chapel Path, St John is ideally positioned, close to the "heart" of the school, yet allowing boys their own "space" and conveniently located next to the Refectory!

St. John is a lively house proud of its academic and sporting achievements and where each boy is encouraged to "do his best" in a homely atmosphere. (more will be added to this page when the new Housemaster has had time to settle in).
