Golf

Golf can be played by all boys in any year and is classed as a recreational and competitive sport. For boys who are just taking up golf or for the more proficient there is a good selection of school equipment available.

The school employs a local professional to teach the boys the etiquette and skills of the game and together with the schools golf master the boys enjoy the full benefits on golf expertise available.

The school's golf course was extended by the opening of 4 new holes and the closure of 2 short holes. The course is 9 holes of 1,752yds par 33 for boys and a challenging 30 for the low handicapper.

A new club has been formed called The Oratory School Golf Club with the Sports Centre being the Club House with all the facilities that a full club house would enjoy.

The course is open to Oratory boys and parents with public members playing during lesson and holiday periods.

On Wednesday afternoons the school plays at Mapledurham with the golf master and is available for boys who have attained the required standard to play a full 18 hole members course.
