A poignant Act Of Remembrance took place at the CCF Memorial on Wednesday morning. Father Elliott, the School Chaplain, led the congregation in prayer and the Last Post and Reveille were played by pupils. Wreaths were laid by the Head Master on behalf of the School, one of our Governors Mr Hobley on behalf of the Oratory Schools Association and Housemaster Mr Watson (OS 1985-90) on behalf of our Old Oratorians. Remembrance crosses were laid in memory of Old Oratorians, Capt Andrew Griffiths and Lt Peter McCarthy RM by Major Bosher and RSM Jordan-Barber. Although only a representative group of staff, pupils and cadets could be present at the memorial garden the service was live streamed so staff and pupils could take part in their individual classrooms and remember and honour those, including many Old Oratorians, who sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
