The Oratory Celebrates Odd Socks Day 2021

On Monday 15 November, Oratory pupils and staff donned odd socks in support of Odd Socks Day 2021, which raises awareness for Anti-Bullying Week.

The idea behind this day is to demonstrate a willingness to think more about the need to be kind to each other.

Today we continue this theme with the focus on “What are the kind things that people have done for you?” Pupils will be asked to reflect on what kind things people have done for them, no matter how big or small.

The link below contains resources for Anti-Bullying week, which have been shared across the school. This theme is "One Kind Word", which highlights how small gestures of kindness, be it a comment, gesture or smile can make a huge impact.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a mile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Leo Buscaglia
