The Oratory School Rowing Club visited Northern Spain for a warm weather training camp over Easter.
Thirteen pupils took part in several different boat types completing three training sessions a day.
Queen Anne’s also took crews and pupils worked together revising for the forthcoming exams.
Good routines were quickly adopted, excellent food and even a spa pool made for a fantastic training environment.
This was a first experience for many pupils of a training camp and huge progress was made in many areas. The crews learnt to navigate on a large section of the Arnoia River, often completing around 20km a day.
Day trips also took place to the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela and to Ourense the local town.
This term’s regatta racing calendar starts soon with the Ball Cup Regatta at Dorney Lake, Eton on Sunday 12th May.
