A Level English Literature trip to see Frankenstein

A Level English Literature pupils went to Richmond Theatre on Thursday 21 November to see a brand new production of Frankenstein.

Mary Shelley's classic Gothic novel has been adapted for stage and screen on many occasions but in Roma Munro's re-imagining of the text she actually places the writer amidst the action as the central character. This was felt to be a bold and unusual choice with an overly confident and somewhat arrogant Shelley on stage but it certainly led to many interesting discussions in subsequent lessons concerning the dynamic between creator and creation.
