English Inspector Calls Workshop

On Monday 4 February, a theatre company called Drama Impact came in to The Oratory School to work with the 4th Form on J.B. Priestley’s play, An Inspector Calls.

The afternoon was a lively combination of performance and workshop with several Oratory boys going up onto the stage to take on the renowned roles of Mr Birling, Gerald and even Sheila!

The boys threw themselves into the acting and those in the audience helped make important decisions on how scenes should be directed and asked perceptive questions in hot-seating exercises, “interviewing” characters.

The visit was a real success thanks to everyone’s involvement and many thanks to Drama Impact, who have given the boys such a comprehensive understanding of characters within the play.
