One of the musical (and culinary) highlights of The Oratory School calendar is the Hopkins Society Jazz Evening.
The Oratory's Front Hall and Refectory were transformed to reflect the filmic theme for the evening; our guests walked up the red carpet into the Front Hall, whilst being photographed by Oratory School paparazzi (Sixth Form Photography pupils).
We were treated to wonderful food and an extraordinary evening of live jazz. We were delighted to have the Jazz Band from The Oratory Prep School with us once again. Their wonderful, energetic playing is always a real highlight. The Oratory School Big Band played a selection of jazz and film classics, followed by a selection of solo items. The evening was brought to a close as our very own Phil Chaundy and Gary Howarth played a ‘late night’ together with other visiting professionals, all supported by the extraordinary talents of Sixth Form pupil, Ollie Monye on the drums.
This was an unforgettable evening of great food, great company and great music.
