The annual Rugby Club Dinner took place last Saturday evening as The Oratory welcomed back one of its former pupils, Ayoola Erinle, as Guest of Honour.
Ayoola, a former England international, spoke about his experience of playing rugby at school and then as a professional for Wasps, Leicester Tigers and England.
It was a very enjoyable evening and a fitting way to end what has been a successful regular season with the 1st and 2nd XV winning all but one of their matches.
Matthew Petty was named 3rd XV Player of the Year, Jaime Carbonell won the 2nd XV award and the 1st XV awards went to David McDonald (Captain’s Cup), Mikey Williams (Paul Keddie Shield) and Tom Grenfell (Tom Hennessy Shield).
This week, the season culminates with a development side playing against Christ College at Cardiff Arms Park and the 1st XV’s NatWest Quarter-Final against Dauntsey’s School.
