Classes Available from September

We offer a variety of classes and are always looking at ways to improve. Whether you are looking for a new hobby, or to restart an old one, there are lots of opportunities to get back into routine this September. With enthusiastic and dedicated instructors, we are sure to have the class to suit you!

 

Box-FIT

Box-fit –  This is a 45minutes high energy and fun fitness class led by , working in pairs and mixing boxing moves with circuits and body weight exercises. The classes are suitable for almost all ages and abilities and is particularly popular with women as it gives you an opportunity to train using boxing moves without the physical combat. It’s a great way to relieve tension and stress whilst working on achieving lovely lean muscles.

Session dates:

Week starting 4th September to week starting 4th December.

Cost:

£80 per ten week course (£8 per session), to be paid in advance to reserve a place (maximum of 12 people per class to ensure individual attention). Ad Hoc sessions are available at £10 per session.

Times of courses:

Mondays 12:00pm-1:00pm

Wednesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm

Fridays 1:00pm-2:00pm

FFY

FFY is an exciting Yoga programme that incorporates deep stretch, Yoga postures and fitness exercises. Every element of FFY is validated from a fitness perspective. Anyone taking part in a FFY class can expect to improve their flexibility in 8 weeks. They will learn how to identify the body’s stabilising muscles and use them effectively to improve their posture and move with more confidence. It is not a spiritual experience but mimics Yoga in it’s breathing and style, offering postures that endorse strength and stability.

PILATES

Lyn is a Pilates instructor with the Register of Exercise Professionals and is fully insured. Lyn focuses on alignment, breathing and movements when teaching dynamic or remedial work, enabling her clients to re-align their bodies and strengthen their core so that it becomes a natural process within everyday life. Lyn enjoys enabling others to feel the benefits that regular Pilates sessions can bring to both the mind and body.

Please bring your own mats if you have them, if not, these can be purchased from the Sports Centre Reception.
