Established in 1971 by Sir James Comyn, Old Oratorian and Governor of the School, the Foundation has, over the last fifty years: –

  • assisted over 20 boys to remain at the O.S. when parents have died.
  • provided two-year bursaries to more than 14 pupils through the Newman Sixth Form award.
  • helped to fund numerous gap year projects all over the world, which have been to benefit others.
  • provided additional facilities for the two schools, with a new organ for The Oratory Preparatory School, a reconditioned organ for St. Joseph’s Chapel at The Oratory School and new pews for the OPS Chapel.

The Foundation receives donations and the occasional legacy but is currently funded primarily from investment income and the proceeds of the 200 Club.

(Registered Charity No 1071495)

The 200 Club has been going for over 30 years and many Old Oratorians are already members. There are prizes of £100 every month and twice a year there is a draw for a further £400. The annual subscription is £24 by standing order.

Please help the Foundation charity to continue its good work for OS boys past and present.
