Applications are invited for the autumn round of the Pereira Award. Applications are reviewed by the committee of Old Oratorians twice a year in October/November and in April/May and awards are made soon afterwards. All activities must be planned for a future date: awards cannot be made retrospectively.

Types of Gap Year endeavour or activity suitable for an application include:

  • Pioneering adventure or expedition
  • Travel grant
  • Charitable activity
  • Language or other cultural study abroad

What is required of the winner(s) :

  • A written report of the activity/trip for the OSS website and for The Oratorian magazine
  • A talk given to the school
  • Photos for the website and for future Pereira Award material
  • A short presentation at the next Annual Dinner where possible
  • Provision of receipts of major expenditure as proof of genuine spending of the award money
  • Where relevant, a piece of Oratory School clothing should be taken on the expedition and photos provided of this.

Old Oratorians should fill in the form in the Members area.
