This weekend, 14 of our 5th Form pupils, the Head Master and Mr Fec (Assistant Head Co-curricular and Partnerships) completed a Sleepout at The Oratory Cricket pavilion to mark World Homeless Day and raise money for Launchpad, a Reading-based charity that helps the homeless and those at risk of homelessness.

The Oratory is delighted to have raised £6k this summer for The Ruth Strauss Foundation following its second ‘Red for Ruth’ ‘Turn Cricket Red’ sporting initiative and charity fundraising event held in June, which welcomed Angus Fraser MBE, former England cricketer and trustee of The Ruth Strauss Foundation as Guest Speaker.
A common complaint from many who have left senior school education is that they were never taught about financial budgeting and mortgages. Last week, we addressed these issues in PSHE, with a class on 'Budgeting and long term goals'.
