3rd Form Classics trip to Bath

3rd Form Latinists enjoyed an exciting 24 hours away in Bath this week. The weather wasn’t kind to us on Tuesday night, but we found our way from the station to the Premier Inn and then back to Pizza Express where we had a lovely group meal.

Fortunately, it was dry on Wednesday and we made our way over to the Baths for our education session. We looked at a variety of inscriptions from Bath and used our Language skills to piece together information about some of the people who lived and died here. We also had a chance to look at some replica and original objects that would have been used in different areas of the ancient baths. Then we all had a chance to explore the baths themselves and the museum. The pupils even made friends with an ancient Roman named Peregrinus!

We all had an excellent time looking at some places and objects we have been studying in Latin this term. The staff all agree that the students were excellent company.
