Former Oratory School Head Master, Fr Clive Dytor, was ordained to the Catholic priesthood on Saturday 12 September at St Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham. He will serve his home parish of of St Teresa’s, Charlbury.
Fr Clive Dytor left The Oratory in 2015 after 15 years as Head Master. After a year out working on the renovation of his new home, he spent two years teaching/coaching at Bruern Abbey, a specialist dyslexic Prep school for boys. In that period, he discerned a calling to the Catholic Priesthood and was accepted for Seminary formation in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, studying a part-time bespoke course at St Mary's College, Oscott since 2018.
On Immaculate Conception in December 2019, he was ordained Deacon at the seminary and incardinated into the diocese of Birmingham, which stretches from North Staffordshire right down to Caversham.
