The AGM and Annual Dinner at The East India Club was a resounding success last Friday evening. Eighty diners gathered, mainly in pre-arranged groups, to enjoy an evening of good food and wine, reminiscences and catching up. For many, this was the first dinner ever. Some had not seen their contemporaries since leaving the OS twenty years ago.
David Connolly. the OSS Chairman, proposed the loyal toast and then everyone toasted our Founder, Blessed John Henry Newman. The Head Master, Joe Smith, gave the OOs a short State of the Union speech, and the latest Pereira Award winner, Paul Bettesworth outlined his award-winning activities.
A number of OOs were disappointed not to be able to book places, but there was an over-whelming response this year. Book early next time!
