Loneliness Awareness Week is a campaign dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness. It takes place every year from Monday 9 June to Sunday 15 June and is hosted by the Marmalade Trust.

Thursday 8 May marked the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day). The Oratory School's commemorations began with the whole school joining the nation's 2 minutes' silence on the 1st XI cricket pitch.

Because the traditional date for the Solemnity of St George occurred during the seven days following Easter Sunday, the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales have transferred his Feast until today. The Anglican Communion have done likewise (Church of England), so we are all observing it today together within those Christian communities that observe a calendar of saints.
