The group had two workshops alongside a tour of the palace. The first was based around 'Food in the Medieval period', This was a fascinating insight into how people lived at the time and the way in which food has evolved over the centuries.

The second was based on Hampton Court's own Real Tennis court, which dates back to Charles I. While our pupils were all familiar with the game, it was a privilege to be allowed on the oldest court in the world and to learn about the history of the game and how the modern game of tennis has developed.

Alongside this, the tour around the Palace gave pupils a great insight into some of the most significant events in English history, such as Henry VIII's divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
