The Oratory welcomes NextGen for a Weekend of Live Sports Coverage

The Oratory enjoyed a successful Saturday as both its senior rugby and hockey teams recorded victories in fixtures broadcast live through NextGen, the leading streaming company for school sport.

The Oratory 1st XV rugby team produced an impressive attacking display to beat Windsor Boys’ School 51–7, continuing a positive run of form with a commanding performance.

Fly-half Seb C. was one of the standout performers, scoring a notable hat-trick of tries as The Oratory repeatedly found a way through the Windsor defence. The comprehensive scoreline reflected a strong all-round performance, with The Oratory combining attacking intent with effective defensive work to secure a convincing victory.

There was further success on our new Caritas All-Weather pitch, where The Oratory 1st XI hockey team recorded a 1–0 victory over Pangbourne College in a closely contested encounter.

The decisive moment came from Sophia B.B., whose goal proved enough to settle the match. The Oratory then showed composure and determination to protect their narrow advantage and secure an important clean-sheet victory.

With both fixtures streamed live, the matches provided an opportunity for supporters further afield to follow the action and showcase the strength of Sport at The Oratory.

The double success represents an encouraging weekend for the school’s senior teams, with both the rugby and hockey sides demonstrating the quality, commitment and competitive spirit that have become hallmarks of Oratory Sport.

Both teams will now look to build on Saturday’s results as their respective seasons continue.
