Oratory GCSE Drama Students impress in their first Assessed Performances

Our first Oratory Drama assessment performances took place today from 4th Form GCSE students - and they smashed it!
First up, we had Flo and Arthur who created a genuinely emotional and sincere father-daughter relationship that had us all hooked! They really set the bar high as our first group to perform.
They were followed by Leo and Eloise, who interpreted the scene very differently, arguing with each other from the very start and creating real hostility on stage. There was evident tension and frustration as Leo, playing the father, was sarcastic and cold to his daughter, Sophie, played by Eloise.
Then came a hugely moving scene between Trey and Gwen that had us all captivated. This was a debut performance from Gwen, and a rarely seen performance from Trey - who usually favours the lighting booth. Both were incredible performers!
Next up we had an impressively inventive take from Seth and Sorren with a scene that was highly emotive and showed the heavy grief of the play. Moving the door to transition from living room to kitchen made this such an inventive and original interpretation and something Mrs Ring, Head of Drama, has never seen before!
The final performance was a trio with Azkaa and Kiaan as the parents to Sophie (played by Danielle). It was brilliant to see the different approaches from the parents with a very sad mother and a frustrated father. Another inventive interpretation of this scene!
Well done everyone.
