This week, L6th Form 6th Form Business & Economics students visited the MINI assembly plant at Cowley, Oxford. This plant, in one guise or another, has been producing motor cars since 1913.
To celebrate the start of the academic year and to encourage new year groups to get to know one another, The Oratory partnered with The One Day Film School for a fun-filled filmmaking day!
The Oratory is delighted to have raised over £4.5k this summer for The Ruth Strauss Foundation following a ‘Red for Ruth’ ‘Turn Cricket Red’ sporting initiative and a charity fundraising event held in June, which welcomed Angus Fraser MBE, former England cricketer and trustee of The Ruth Strauss Foundation as Guest Speaker.
The Oratory has enjoyed a good year of GCSE exam results, with many students achieving above prediction.
Oratory Racquets spent the first week of the summer holidays enjoying a tour to the USA.
The Oratory are very pleased with their A level results this year, which are a testament to the hard work and dedication of their students and their teachers.
On Thursday 20 June, L6th Form Biologists travelled to Manorbier to complete the assessed fieldwork aspects of their A-level course experiments.
Oratory Science 4th Form students visited Harcourt Arboretum on Wednesday 26 June to complete aspects of their Biology fieldwork.
On Friday 14 June, a small group of 4th and L6 Form pupils set off into Oxford for a day involving seminars, open discussions, and tours around three colleges.
On Tuesday 11 June, L6th Business and Economics students went on an enrichment day to South Wales to visit the Royal Mint in Llantrisant and the Lewis Merthyr Colliery at Porth.
