Filmmaking 6th Form Award Winners
Meet our Award-Winning 6th Form filmmakers! Huge congratulations to George C, George M, Isabella, Jess, Riley, Romilly, Sophia and Tommy, whose short film, ‘Apocalypse’, has been 'Highly Commended' in the One Day Film School’s ‘2025's 10 Shot Film Awards’ in the category: Best Sequel Film.
The One Day Film School, is part of the Young Film Academy, the UK’s leading provider of film education for young people aged 6-19, and the awards recognise filmmaking excellence in over 150 UK & International schools.
During a dedicated workshop with One Day Film School at the beginning of this term, our pupils learnt all aspects of the filmmaking process from screenwriting, fight choreography and film history to camerawork and editing to make their short film.
As well as an impressive glass trophy, now proudly on display in The Oratory trophy cabinet, our 6th Formers have been invited to watch the screening of Apocalypse and the other winning films at The Walt Disney Company Head Quarters in London, followed by a special preview of a Disney film!
