George was a much loved member of the school community. He was Vice Captain of his house, School Prefect, Colour Sergeant in the CCF, and was captain of the school shooting team. He had gone on from school to earn selection to The Parachute Regiment where he won P Company Champion. In each of his promotion courses he obtained a distinction and his Commanding Officers Eulogy is positively glowing in its praise for George as a soldier and a person. At the time of his death he was deployed in Ukraine.

The prayers of the Oratory Community are with George, his family and friends. We aim to celebrate his life with a memorial here at school and will let all members of the community know full details in due course.
