In class, 1st to 3rd Form discussed Impossible Creatures by Katharine Rundell, Birdie by J. P, Rose and Weird Philosophy by Brandon Robshaw. They decided which genres each book should be placed in, as well as the reasoning behind their decisions. They then went on to talk about their own book recommendations within these genres for Year 5 and 6 pupils in our neighbouring schools, as Oratory English is organising a second-hand book collection to be donated to local primary schools. 

Meanwhile, in 3D Design, Oratory pupil Luca designed the most fantastic 3D printed model of Saron's Tower from Lord of the Rings, complete with a smouldering Eye of Sauron volcano. This was proudly on display in the Ref at lunch time, complimented by a mouth-watering Lord of the Rings themed menu of Mount Doom chipotle braised beef stew, followed by Orc Forged date and treacle cake, Eye of Sauron blood-orange panna cotta, and chilli Gorgoroth Ember brownies!
