Meet Kate, Wootten House Captain for 2025-2026

Meet Kate, our Wootten House Captain for the academic year 2025–2026...
Kate joined The Oratory School in Year 9 from The Oratory Prep School. She chose to continue her Oratory education “because my time at The Oratory Prep School meant so much to me that I couldn’t imagine leaving The Oratory Family behind. It was a place where I felt genuinely happy, supported, and understood, and continuing that journey feels incredibly special.”
Kate continues, “I was also excited to deepen my love for Drama, and being able to perform in such a beautiful, high-standard theatre at The Oratory has allowed me to express myself and grow in confidence in a way I will always be grateful for. Above all, it is the relationships I have built with people of all ages that mean the most to me. The warmth of the community has helped me become confident and comfortable in who I am, making The Oratory not just a school, but a second home.”
Dr Victoria Fogg (Assistant Head and Wootten Housemaster) attributes Kate's House Captain appointment to the fact that “Kate is the quintessential Oratory girl. Kate already shared our values of integrity, curiosity and kindness and these have flourished as she has grown. Kate is a natural House Captain because she makes the effort to be everyone's friend, to be everyone's supporter, to be genuinely interested in the lives of those around her.”
Georgina Ring, Head of Oratory Drama, says "Kate has shown great dedication to the Drama department during her time here at The Oratory,
culminating in her well-deserved role as a Drama prefect this year and securing the lead role in her final school production, Blue Stockings. Kate leads by example and is seen as a role model by pupils in the younger years. Kate also takes LAMDA lessons and is working towards her Grade 8 exam, which is the highest level possible for LAMDA qualifications.”
Kate will be taking her A Levels this summer in Art, Drama and English Literature.
We are incredibly proud of how Kate has taken on and maximised all of the opportunities on offer to her here at The Oratory and we look forward to seeing what the future holds!
