Former Oratory Parent, Colonel Nigel Jordan-Barber, is awarded the Legion of Merit by the USA
Congratulations to former Oratory Parent, Colonel Nigel Jordan-Barber, who has been awarded the Legion of Merit by the President of the United States in recognition of his exceptional contribution while embedded in Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq.
This is the highest honour that the USA can give to foreign officers. In this role, Col Jordan-Barber worked with a coalition of 25 countries towards the ongoing defeat of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. It was an honour for The Oratory School to look after his daughter during this time.
Today, you’ll find Col Jordan-Barber commanding the corridors of NATO Headquarters as one of the senior military officers in the UK delegation.
