Oratory Rowing attend Henley Women's Regatta for the first time

This Saturday 20 June is a significant milestone for The Oratory School and our Oratory Rowing programme.
For the first time ever, Oratory Rowing will be attending Henley Women's Regatta! This marks the first time that Oratory girls will race on the famous Henley course since the school went co-educational in 2020.
Henley Women's Regatta is the premier event for women's rowing in the UK, featuring crews from schools, clubs and internationals all competing across multiple events and boat types. To clarify, this is a different event from Henley Royal Regatta, which starts the following Friday with qualifiers taking place in the last week of school. Oratory Rowing hopes to make a return to the qualifiers next year.
This Saturday, the Oratory Girls' crew will be competing in the J18 4x with their time-trial at 10.00am. This event will likely be a learning experience for all (the top 16 out of 40+ crews progress to the side-by-side racing), but with all the crew being in Lower 6th Form, we hope that this will be a stepping stone towards more progress next year.
If you are in Henley on Saturday morning, please do come and support us! The event is free to attend (except for parking) anywhere along the towpath and takes place between Temple Island and Remenham Club/Upper Thames. More details can be found at https://hwr.org.uk/
