On Tuesday 12 September, Oratory U6th (A Level) and 5th Form (GCSE) PE pupils embarked on a visit to the Sport and Exercise Science Department at Surrey University.

The group were exposed to lab testing and the human physiology performance lab. Willing volunteers took part in Lactate Testing and VO2 Max Tests before undertaking multiple fitness texts.

Their energy and enthusiasm improved as the day went on and all pupils worked hard to generate reliable data for their coursework. Lots of competition and friendly rivalry ensued!

The exposure to high class facilities and specialised testing equipment was a real treat for them all.
