Claire Fahey, Head of Oratory Racquets, retains British & Australian Open Titles

It has been a busy couple of months winning titles for Claire Fahey, Oratory Head of Racquets and the reigning Women’s Real Tennis World Champion.

In March, Claire won the Australian Ladies Open singles and doubles titles at the Hobart Real Tennis Club. Fahey, the current Ladies World Champion, did not drop a set through the tournament as she won her 9th Australian title.

There was more major success to come on Monday 8 April as Fahey replicated her success at the Ladies British Open last weekend winning the singles event for the 12th time and the doubles title alongside her sister, Sarah Vigrass.

One week later, Claire was competing again, this time at The Queen's Club in Rackets. She teamed with Tara Lumley once again to take the Ladies British Open Doubles Rackets title for the first time.

Steve Tomlinson, Director of Sport at The Oratory says, "We are immensely proud of Claire and her incredible achievements within the field of racquet sports. She is a great role model for Oratory pupils and it is fantastic to have her teaching Real Tennis at The Oratory, one of only four schools with a court."
